Job summary

A finance consulting firm in Penang is seeking a finance professional to prepare financial reports and manage the financial closing processes. The role requires strong proficiency in Excel, a degree in finance or accounting, and organizational skills to work independently. Experience in accounts consolidation is preferred. Competitive compensation will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in handling multiple retail outlets or accounts consolidation is preferred.

  • Prepare and update group reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of consolidation accounts and annual budgets.
  • Manage the monthly financial closing process and prepare financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update group reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including supporting documents, as part of the consolidation process.
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of consolidation accounts and annual budgets.
  • Manage the monthly financial closing process and prepare financial reports.
  • Support management reporting and compile data for group and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for audit purposes.
  • Provide support to the finance team with various accounting-related tasks.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements for the Group.
Job Requirements
  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems or ERP software.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.
  • Experience in handling multiple retail outlets or accounts consolidation is preferred.
