Job description
Finance Business Partner / Finance Business Partnering Manager

Collaborate with department managers and operational leaders to understand business objectives, financial constraints, and strategic initiatives.

Provide proactive financial insights and analysis to support departmental decision‑making and performance optimization.

Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews with business units; prepare commentary explaining deviations from budget and forecasts.

Develop business cases and financial analysis for operational investments, process improvements, and cost‑saving initiatives.

Act as a trusted financial advisor to departments, identifying opportunities for cost management and operational efficiency.

Communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Forecasting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis

Support the annual budgeting process by working with department managers to develop realistic financial targets and priorities aligned with organisational strategy.

Conduct detailed variance analysis on actual versus budgeted performance; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Prepare comprehensive financial analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability trends, and operational metrics.

Support financial planning by analysing historical data, market trends, and operational drivers to inform forecast assumptions.

Assist in long‑term financial planning and strategy development.

Create and maintain financial dashboards and management reporting tools for key stakeholders.

Finance Shared Services Coordination & Financial Reporting

Work closely with the Finance Shared Services Manager to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for Singapore.

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Coordinate with shared services teams on transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.

Support ad‑hoc financial reporting requests from management and stakeholders.

Audit and Tax Support

Audit Activities:

Assist in developing remediation plans for audit findings and recommendations.

Support the implementation of audit recommendations and improvements to internal controls.

Provide support on Singapore tax compliance matters in coordination with the Singapore finance team and external tax advisors.

Assist in gathering information and documentation required for tax return preparation and tax authority submissions.

Monitor tax‑related regulatory changes and their potential impact on financial statements and tax provisions.

Support tax planning initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable tax legislation in both Malaysia and Singapore jurisdictions.

Mergers & Acquisitions Support

Assist in financial due diligence activities for acquisition targets, including financial analysis, valuation support, and risk assessment.

Prepare financial models and analysis to support M&A decision‑making.

Support post‑merger integration planning, including financial consolidation strategy and reporting integration.

Assist in financial restructuring and synergy identification analysis.

Provide financial analysis on acquisition targets' profitability, cash flow, and key financial metrics.

Support Day 1 integration planning and coordination with acquired entities.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive M&A information and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA/ACCA preferred.

Minimum 6 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel; experience with BI tools is a plus.

Organised, meticulous and a good team player.

Auditing experience with Big four is an advantage.
