The Finance Assistant Manager oversees the full spectrum of Finance, Accounting, and Administration within the organization. This role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, supports strategic financial planning, and upholds the company’s governance standards while maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & Accounting Management
  • Oversee the Administration department, including Finance and Accounting (1 employee staff).
  • Manage, prepare, and coordinate all finance and accounting activities in compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Review and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for management reporting.
  • Process and review month-end closing journals and ensure timely completion of all financial tasks.
  • Prepare accurate and timely statutory accounts for HQ Group.
  • Ensure company operations are conducted within approved budgets.
  • Safeguard and manage all company assets.
  • Manage treasury functions including payments, banking, vendor-related financial matters, and financial decision-making.
  • Liaise with the Company Secretary and prepare necessary corporate documents.
2. Audit, Taxation & Compliance
  • Manage all audit and taxation matters, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with tax authorities and external tax agents.
  • Ensure timely submission of tax filings and overall tax compliance.
  • Develop tax-efficient strategies to maximize cost savings and minimize risks.
  • Collaborate with auditors and tax consultants to ensure adherence to rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with customs authorities on reports, licenses, and other required documentation.
  • Advise management on updates or changes in government regulations, including IRB and other regulatory bodies.
3. Systems & Documentation
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of departmental documents and records.
  • Utilize and manage the SAP system effectively for financial and operational processes.
  • Review and improve existing processes and workflows to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Foster a harmonious and collaborative working culture within the department.
  • Liaise with all internal departments and external regulatory bodies as required.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, responsibility, and integrity.
  • Align departmental performance with overall company goals and expectations.
Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance or accounting or any related.
  • Complete knowledge of all relevant regulations.
  • Responsible person with high integrity is required for this position.
  • Those who has Audit firm background will be added advantages.
  • Excellent in verbal and writing in English languages.
  • Patient and outgoing personality.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is added advantage.
  • Have basic payroll experience is advantage
