About the Role

Ensure closing and reporting for Investment Accounting and Group Reporting are completed timely and in accordance with established accounting standard and AIA Group’s requirements and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the month end closing journal and assist in closing task for Group Reporting and Investment Accounting
  • Prepare Group Reporting template including IFRS templates and other Group Reporting basis (ie Adjusted Net Worth, Local Capital Summation Method and Economic Capital) and ensure all deliverables are complied with AIA Group Accounting Policies and submit timely and accurately.
  • Analyse and monitor the monthly financial result including investment return against budget and prior year.
  • Prepare the quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and identify solutions and improvements to clear the reconciliation differences arising.
  • Liaise with Group Office, external auditors and internal divisions on Group Reporting related matters.
  • Identify improvement in workflow processes and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Group Reporting related areas.
Qualifications
  • A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A strong commitment to continuous learning and collaboration with others.
