Job summary

A financial services company based in Shah Alam is seeking a qualified financial manager to ensure compliance with local and group regulations, produce financial reports, and manage tax submissions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting/Finance, 8+ years of experience in financial management, and a strong understanding of Malaysian financial standards. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Job description
Key Responsibilities


  • Uphold company policies, Group rules, and Malaysia’s financial regulations.

  • Apply and improve operating procedures to meet Group guidelines and local compliance.

  • Keep the General Manager informed of any issues affecting business operations.

  • Lead the annual reporting and audit process with Deloitte (or appointed auditors).

  • Ensure compliance with Group audit requirements and local statutory laws.

  • Produce Monthly Financial Statements, Management Accounts, and other required reports.

  • Monitor monthly departmental expenses and provide insights to support budgeting and forecasting.

  • Manage all tax submissions in accordance with Malaysian tax laws and Group standards.

  • Liaise with KPMG (or appointed tax agent) to ensure accurate and compliant filings.

  • Provide financial advice to the General Manager, Regional General Manager, Group Director, and other stakeholders.

  • Support business units with financial analysis and recommendations.

  • Participate in planning cycles and advise on performance against prior-year and budget targets.

  • Act as the key contact for auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government agencies.

  • Coordinate communication and documentation with external professionals as required.


Requirements


  • Degree in Accounting/Finance, Professional Qualification.

  • 8+ years experience in financial management.

  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia financial standards, tax regulations, and audit processes.

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
