A leading technology solutions provider is looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Sarawak, Malaysia. This role involves on-site installation and maintenance of various scientific product solutions including Gas Chromatography and Liquid Chromatography. Ideal candidates will have a degree in a science field, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and be open to extensive travel. This position welcomes both experienced professionals and fresh graduates who show potential in supporting advanced technological solutions.
You will be responsible in supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions. Products support mainly on core products such as Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (LC) and GC/MSD. Our varied product lines include hardware, software, and networking products as well as operating systems.
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer/end user sites.
Performs maintenance and repairs.
Implement fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance issues and provide an end-to-end solution.
Ensures customer satisfaction by guiding and training users/customers on preventive maintenance and configurations.
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions
A Bachelors or Masters’ Degree within the science field – e.g. Chemistry Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in a similar position or experience as an end user, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving.
Experience with Agilent solutions products & product experience with PerkinElmer, Shimadzu or similar.
Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively as well as enjoy working remotely, whilst engaging and visiting customers on-site.
