Candidates must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience, particularly in refinery projects. Familiarity with local construction regulations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Min. 10 years experience working in refinery project.
• At least one greenfield project experience is required.
• Familiar with local construction codes, regulations and safety standards.

Connect Energy partners with a consultancy firm to look for a FIELD MECHANICAL ENGINEER (EQUIPMENT) for a Biofuel project in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to execute the integration of mechanical systems with other construction components of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards in construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Prepare and submit reports to CM and PM for approval prior presenting to client.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Min. 10 years experience working in refinery project with at least one is a greenfield project.
• Experience working in Pengerang will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge in mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, pumps and generators.
• Familiar with local construction codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities with capacity to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Able to work in fast pace environment.
• Able to start work within short notice an advantage
