  • Ability to perform sanding and gelcoat application.

  • Basic verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Responsibilities
  • Perform fiberglass repairs on boats, including patching, filling, and smoothing damaged areas to restore structural integrity and aesthetic appearance.
  • Assist in the boat building process by applying fiberglass lamination to hulls, decks, and other components, ensuring proper layering and resin saturation for optimal strength and durability.
  • Prepare and mix resins, catalysts, and other chemicals according to specified formulas and procedures, maintaining accurate ratios and consistency for reliable fiberglass application.
  • Execute fiberglass molding processes, including preparing molds, applying release agents, and laying up fiberglass materials to create boat parts and components with precise dimensions and shapes.
  • Conduct sanding and surface preparation on fiberglass parts, ensuring smooth and even surfaces for subsequent gelcoat application and finishing.
  • Apply gelcoat to fiberglass surfaces using spray equipment or manual techniques, achieving uniform coverage and desired color and finish while minimizing imperfections.
  • Perform quality control inspections on fiberglass parts and assemblies, identifying and addressing defects such as air bubbles, voids, and inconsistencies to meet quality standards and specifications.
