Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Report to Management and Board of Directors of Food Forest Farm
- Stay calm under intense pressure and handle with care and safety the Business Continuity Plan, Crisis and Emergency Management as part of Business and Organisational Resilience post the Covid-19 Pandemic
- Formulate the Strategic Plan for the Farm and set up of metrics – financial and non-financial – for all necessary farm production and post-harvest capabilities
- Perform a Strategic Workforce Plan with Food Forest Farm’s Human Resource Function in structuring teams, identifying core competencies, and designing the workflows and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that are necessary for high performance delivery
- Work Well with Data – Agriculture, Business Processes, Financial, People – as well as Intuition, to arrive at Interpretations and Insights
- Communications – Written and Verbal – timely, appropriate and sensitive, with all stakeholders
- Team Player – work well with an energising and respectful attitude with Board of Directors, management, peers and team members
- Compliance and Liaison with necessary government bodies, trade associations and third parties relating to agriculture, farm business, farm management and people matters
- Operational Management of farm production – day to day management of team supervisors and team members, and timely troubleshooting of exceptions
- Profitable Farm - Financial Planning & Control - Work with Finance Function to prepare and analyse annual plans, budgets, dashboards, progress and compliance reporting.
- Happy Farm – Work with Human Resource Function to conduct transparent and fair Performance Appraisals, track and train the Learning and Development of skillsets, monitor and motivate Performance accountability, support and sustain Wellbeing of Farm Production and Post-Harvest of all team members
- Ambassador of Food Forest Farm brand with an exemplary conduct and dignity for Farm Production and eco-systems
Farm Innovations
- Greenhouse Technology and Growing Infrastructure – have deep knowledge of science and technology of climate-controlled greenhouse farming in the temperate highlands of Malaysia
- Growing System – able to adopt and adapt the existing growing systems of Food Forest Farm and innovate new systems based on work with international and local Agronomists
- Crop Development – Work with Product Design Function to test and grow to specifications the necessary crop quality
- Farm Innovations - Harvest and Grading, Nutrition and Food Safety, Packing & Handling – Work with Agronomists and Human Resource Function to continuously learn and adapt latest agriculture and nutrition knowledge into training materials for farm production and post-harvest management and operations
Continually improve the following farm business processes and performance to integrate with Product Design, Agronomists, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resource Functions in the following functions:

- Nursery Management
- Plant Care & Management
- Pest & Disease Management
- Harvest & Yield Management
Farm Site & Facilities Management
- Site Project and Contractor Management
- Greenhouse Farming Setup
- Farm Fertigations and Growing System Setup

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy/Agriculture/Science/Forestry or equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of working experience in the related field is required.
- Candidate must have at least 2 years' experience in managing or involved in the management of a large-scale farm with mixed-crops
- Passion, commitment and experience with safe (zero-pesticides commitment or organic) farming
- Strong knowledge and awareness of industry trends, technology, as well as developments
- Manage resources to achieve operation targets, quality, output and achieve desired results
- Must have knowledge in crop protection, biochemistry, cash-crop farm management
