Factory Maintenance Assistant Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Factory Maintenance Assistant Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance of our plating plant and associated manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing plant equipment, supervising engineers and technicians, and ensuring smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians in daily maintenance operations.

• Maintain and troubleshoot plating plant equipment, jigs and fixtures, effluent treatment systems, and sandblasting, laser marking, and other production machines.

• Oversee chillers, compressors, pumps, motors, heaters, and other mechanical and electrical systems.

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

• Coordinate fabrication and repair of jigs, fixtures, and other production aids.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.

• Support production with timely maintenance interventions and problem‑solving.

• Maintain records, reports, and documentation to support audits and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or plating plant.

• Proven experience leading a team of engineers and technicians.

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, fabrication, and plant equipment maintenance.

• Hands‑on experience with plating plants, jigs fabrication, sandblasting machines, laser marking, chillers, compressors, pumps, motors, heaters, and effluent treatment facilities.

• Must be residing in Johor Bahru.

• Immediate availability preferred.
