Job summary

A prominent engineering firm located in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia is seeking a qualified Facilities Maintenance Engineer. The role involves daily monitoring, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of facilities support equipment. Candidates should have a Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, strong knowledge in gas handling, as well as experience in electrical installation and HVAC systems. A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in facilities maintenance is preferred. The position requires communication in both English and Bahasa Melayu and offers a normal shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Certified Chargeman required.
• Strong knowledge in gas handling and electrical installation.
• 3-5 years experience in facilities maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facilities plant support services equipment daily.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Job description

Overview

Daily routine monitoring of Facilities plant support services equipment. Carry out schedule preventive maintenance of facilities support equipment. Attend to equipment breakdown, trouble shooting and repair work. To observe and follow EHS requirement all the time. To observe and follow cleanroom protocol. Support to supervise contractors and vendors to meet EHS requirement and work completion (as per arranged schedule).

Other duties assigned by superior.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Certified Chargeman. Minimum AO
• Language: Able to communicate in both English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Experience: Strong knowledge in gas handling work and experience in electrical installation, HVAC and CDA system.
• Preferable 3-5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance and able to work in 12 hours shift pattern.
• Knowledge in computer is preferred (Excel, Power point)
• Other Qualifications (Plus Requirements): A certified HT chargeman is an added advantage.
• Able to work in NORMAL SHIFT (8.00am - 5.15pm)
