Facility Lead, Data Centre Operations

Our client, a leading data center operator in APAC, is seeking a Facility Lead to oversee the operations and maintenance of their advanced data centre in Johor. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and safety across the facility.

About the Role

As Facility Lead, you will manage and guide a shift team responsible for maintaining 24/7/365 operations in a production data centre. Your focus will be on ensuring 100% uptime, coordinating maintenance activities, and driving operational excellence across critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a shift team to maintain and repair critical environment systems.
• Plan and prioritise daily work activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Monitor the Facility Operations Centre (FOC) and respond promptly to alarms from EPMS, BMS, and fire systems.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities, review risk assessments, and enforce health and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate records in CAFM and issue daily shift handover reports.
• Support emergency response plans and conduct drills regularly.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Electronics or Building Management, or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in a data centre environment, ideally in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of data centre operations and critical systems.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malay.
• Ability to manage priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in computer applications for operational management.
