1. Mechanical Systems Operation & Management
- Oversee the daily operation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, pumps, exhaust systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead corrective actions to minimize downtime and operational impact.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) activities.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
2. Facilities Support & Reliability Improvement
- Monitor system performance, including temperature, humidity, airflow, pressure, and water flow.
- Optimize energy usage and utility efficiency, including water, gas, HVAC load, and compressed air systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for servicing, maintenance, and inspections.
- Implement reliability programs such as RCM, CMMS enhancements, and spare parts management.
- Promptly identify and resolve facility operation issues by coordinating with internal teams or external contractors as required.
3. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with DOSH, Bomba, energy standards, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to facilities, utilities, and compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation, including permits, drawings, SOPs, risk assessments, equipment logs, and technical reports.
4. Facilities Operation Support
- Support day-to-day facility operations, including HVAC systems, production equipment utilities, and general building services.
- Assist with energy monitoring and utilities consumption tracking.
- Stand by and respond to emergencies, breakdowns, and on-call duties when required.
5. Project & Improvement Work
- Lead or support mechanical-related projects, including system upgrades, equipment installation, renovations, and capacity expansions.
- Prepare project scopes, technical evaluations, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Ensure project execution complies with internal standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Engage and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers for project implementation.
- Promptly identify and resolve facility operation issues by coordinating with internal teams or external contractors as required.
6. Cross-Functional Support
- Lead or support mechanical projects, including system upgrades, equipment installation, renovations, and capacity expansions.
- Provide engineering support to Production, QA, EHS, and other departments.
- Lead or assist in emergency responses for mechanical-related incidents, such as leaks, HVAC failures, and water supply disruptions.
- Train and mentor technicians on mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
2.0 Job Requirements
- Minimum Degree / Advanced Diploma / Higher Diploma / Graduate qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, plumbing, exhaust systems, and mechanical utilities.
- Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards.
- Excellent critical thinking skills with a high level of responsibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with CMMS, AutoCAD, and P&ID; basic electrical knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate others and lead or manage teams and projects.
- Willing to provide on-call support when required.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and handle stress effectively.
