Responsible for the management of mechanical and electrical equipment / facility that support the core business of BMMY using best practices to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

Job Description
  • In charge of 1Kv and below for substation operation control, monitoring, new install and relevant maintenance activities including genset.
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical fault circuit/system and provide recommendation to minimize re-occurrence or long‑term solution.
  • Oversee the schedule of preventive maintenance, service repair, troubleshooting and installation of facilities equipment and system.
  • Perform periodic checks and submit reports with recommendations to ensure compliance with all laws and company regulations related to electrical systems and installations.
  • Make, update and review the related department's flowchart, documentation and forms for compliance and improvement purposes.
  • Plan, prepare Gantt schedule and follow up on actual activity progress for assigned projects.
  • Participate in department quotation discussions and monthly budgeting correspondence activities.
  • Prepare technical requirements for contractors and analyze comparison quotations for repair, new installation, and maintenance projects.
  • Review effectiveness of routine inspections and supervise daily maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support environmental sustainability initiatives and energy‑saving programs.
  • Coordinate periodic training plans, monitor and guide technicians and junior staff.
  • Develop action plans to ensure compliance with authority and company safety standards and requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and provide technical documentation for ISO and other certifications.
  • Any other ad hoc duties by immediate supervisor as required.
Job Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years and more of relevant work experience.
  • Skills:
    • Familiar with electrical regulations and installation.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Language: Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Malay.
