Job description
Position Purpose

The hire will assist the SM team in managing purchases in daily operations, system implementations, biddings and mobilizations to meet local and regional KPIs, while maintaining the highest level of integrity and compliance to governance framework.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the company policies are adhered to when carrying out the procurement activities to meet cost savings targets and business’ objectives.
  • Ensure a ready pool of pre-qualified and preferred vendors is in place to support operational requirements.
  • Support the Operations team in the full spectrum of procurement process from sourcing to contracts management. Manage all procurement related contracts and contractors’ relationships for all sites
  • Attending to sites' feedbacks and assist in resolving problems with suppliers, and follow up with claims for non-fulfilment of orders.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations. Carry out vendors’ performance assessment to recommend or remove vendor from approved vendor list.
  • Act as the strategic sourcing lead in specified categories of purchases to establish group contract/s for the Company by conducting spend analysis, demand aggregation, devising strategies to negotiate and contract with suppliers to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Ensure that all purchasing documentations are centrally filed and available at all times to support audit.
  • Participate in projects relating to system enhancements, implementations and/or new sites’ biddings and mobilizations.
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased in Sodexo system.
  • Managing indirect spend for Malaysia
Requirements
  • Professional Certificate/Diploma related to Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Sound understanding of purchasing principles and its applications, preferably in the area of strategic sourcing;
  • Possess integrity and strong communications skills;
  • Good time management, resourceful and able to perform under tight deadlines;
  • Strong negotiation skills and has good knowledge of supply market in Facility Management;
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment;
