Job summary

A leading firm in oil and gas procurement is seeking a professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage supplier selection and procurement processes. Candidates must have at least a Diploma, a minimum of two years in oil and gas procurement, and proficiency in MS Office and SAP. Responsibilities include preparing RFQs, analyzing bids, and ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines. This contract position has a duration of 12 months and requires a candidate who can work under pressure and manage high workloads.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Respond to client requisitions and clarify requirement.
2. Manage supplier selections and proceed with beeding which includes preparing RFQs and faxing.
3. Ensure sourcing plans are developed according to schedules.
4. Identify validated bids and request for extension.
5. Analyze bids and prepare award recommendations.
6. Obtain client's approval for reimbursable requisitions.
7. Execute purchase order after obtain approvals.
8. Prepare change/variation order when necessary.
9. Respond to clients' urgent request.
10. Provide info on every requisition to OM and the operation team as necessary.
11. Ensure buying activities achieve procurement objective.
12. Develop savings estimates and obtain business line endorsement.
13. Ensure all purchasing documents as appropriate.
14. Ensure sourcing plans are developed according to schedules and execute ITB.
15. Manage process to screen and qualify vendors.
16. Ensure ITB process complies with procurement's guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
• Diploma holder in Business Administration or other discipline with three (3) years experience in oil and gas procurement.
• Degree / Bachelor in Engineering or other discipline with two (2) years experience in oil and gas procurement.
• Two (2) and above years experience in oil and gas upstream procurement activities.
• Required skill(s): MS Office, SAP.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• Able to work under pressure and handle the high workload.
• Understand the oil and gas industries requirements.
• Familiar with the procurement of marine/ships equipment and oil and gas materials.
