Job Summary

The Project Coordinator, is a key entry-level role responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all scheduled DR testing and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) drills. This role acts as the lead coordinator for the testing exercise itself, ensuring that all activities are meticulously documented, executed according to plan, and comply with internal governance and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities

Core Focus: Disaster Recovery Testing Coordination

  • Test Planning & Scheduling: Assist in defining the scope, objectives, and test scripts for various DR/BCP testing exercises (e.g., system failovers, recovery drills).
  • Lead Facilitation: Serve as the primary coordinator and facilitator during live DR testing exercises and simulation drills, ensuring all participating teams (IT, Operations, Business Units) adhere to the defined schedule and procedures.
  • Documentation Management: Meticulously track all testing activities, outcomes, and deviations during the exercise. Ensure the DR and BCP documents (plans, runbooks, contact lists) are current and accurately reflect the recovery capabilities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Compile detailed test reports, including identified gaps, lessons learned, and recommended remediation actions. Present findings clearly to the management and relevant committees.
  • Compliance Support: Support the team in tracking and demonstrating that DR testing programs meet regulatory requirements (e.g., frequency, scope, independent review) as mandated by industry guidelines.
  • Follow-Up: Manage the register of identified issues post-test, tracking remediation projects to closure.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Manage the schedule, coordinate resources, and track budgets for Technology projects (e.g., DR tool upgrades, BCP document review cycles).
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication channels between technical teams, business stakeholders, and management regarding testing schedules and results.
  • Documentation Control: Establish and maintain version control for all DR testing procedure and project deliverables.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an IT, operations, coordination, or risk management support role.

Technical Skills:

  • Foundational understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (e.g., networks, servers, databases).
  • Proficiency in using documentation and tracking software (e.g., Excel, Project, Jira, Confluence).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills and methodical attention to detail, especially under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for facilitating cross-functional teams.
