Job summary

A leading property development company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Executive responsible for day-to-day operations in the Finance department. The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in property developers. This role requires proficiency in handling full set accounts and working in a computerized environment; familiarity with Mandarin is preferred due to client interactions. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day operations in the Finance department.
• Handle accounting functions – Full set of accounts: AP, AR, GL, Cash Management, Financial Reporting and Credit Control.
• Assist in monitoring annual budget, revenue forecast, operation costs and expenses.
• Prompt submission of monthly reports.
• Handle statutory audits & assist in taxation matters, ensure compliance and clearance.
• Perform any other related duties when required.
• Handle full set of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash book, and general ledger entries for property developer companies.
• Prepare Project Profit Computation as per MFRS15 for Developer.
• Prepare monthly closing of accounts and reports in a timely manner for submission to Management.
• Liaise with external parties such as auditor, tax agent and banker.
• Assist in ad-hoc assignments and any other related tasks, as and when assigned by Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a Degree in Accounting or any relevant courses.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounting, preferably in property developer accounts.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
• Full set accounts experience is preferred.
• Month end closing and tax computation.
• Good command of Microsoft office applications.
• Experienced working in computerized accounting environment.
• Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred, as this role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.
• Experience in group reporting is an added advantage.
