A leading event management company in Malaysia is seeking a candidate to conduct market intelligence and negotiate client contracts. You will help achieve sales objectives and develop new business opportunities while managing event resources and client relationships. Candidates with a degree in relevant fields and at least 1 year of experience in the hospitality or event industry are encouraged to apply. Fresh graduates are also welcome. This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Conduct market intelligence, analysis of competitors’ services, pricing and strategy; evaluate market trends and conditions and provide timely information to the Management.
Negotiate with clients and contract qualified business for handover to event services.
Achieve sales and marketing operational objectives by contributing sales and marketing information, and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
Develop and penetrate new and existing business/markets and clienteles as well as grow the Convention Centre’s sales revenue.
Produce Weekly Sales Activity reports as required
Coordinate with customers, venue booking and obtain permits if required.
Build good relationships with clients, vendors, and internal employees.
Manage and control expenses of events and to ensure all resources used are in reasonable manner.
Make sure all procedures, processes and related documentation are kept in record.
Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in the hospitality or event industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Expert interpersonal and client servicing skills.
