Job Description:

  • To report to QC HOD SDGI Biodiesel Sdn Bhd (30%)
  • To work closely with QC team and operation team to ensure smooth operation of production which produce product that comply to required specification (50%)
  • To understand all the plants processes to know basic troubleshooting to work with production to settle quality/ plant issues (50%)
  • To work closely with Logistic to ensure smooth operation of loading and unloading of on-spec of chemicals, raw materials and products. (50%)
  • To assist QC HOD in the general administration of the department and to act on his/her behalf in his/her absence (40%)
  • To improve and maintain the existing laboratory management system according to ISO 9001 (50%)
  • To coordinate with QC team to establish laboratory management system according to ISO 17025 (20%)
  • Coordinate with QC HOD to conduct research and trials of process and product development as to improve the performance and quality of production and adjusting with current market demand situation (30%)
  • Ensure good, proper running, and cleanliness of the laboratory including stock of chemicals and ingredients, consumables, maintenance and calibration of lab instrument, manpower deployment and shift arrangement and other employee affairs. (30%)
  • Coordinate with QC HOD to track and maintain records of product rejection, process deviations and complaints from customers and ensure implementation of the necessary measures agreed to avoid repeating similar mistakes. (40%)
  • To monitor daily analysis done by QC technicians and to check regularly the analytical result reported by QC technicians with purpose to ensure its accuracy and reliability. (40%)
  • To compile and summarize results, conduct analysis of data using available tools and give timely feedback to the operation team. (30%)
  • Review the results and qualities of incoming raw materials, oil processed and finished products to ensure within control limit/specifications and update QC HOD and operation team. (50%)
  • To arrange and conduct survey of quality for raw materials, oil processed and finished product on the need basis. (10%)
  • To provide timely feedback and recommendations on the inspection and testing results to the department and plant personnel so as to ensure proper segregation of product basing on quality. (40%)
  • Coordinate with the department to implement quality procedure for production and to establish analytical procedure to analyse the raw material, in-process and products from time to time. (40%)
  • Provide training and conduct cross-checks testing from time to time for the new and existing Laboratory Technician. (15%)
  • Set up, verify, validate and implement new analytical test methods for up-dating the current analytical procedures. (15%)
  • To provide product information such as SDS, specification etc. upon request by customer or superior. (10%)
  • Coordinate with QC HOD and operation team to evaluate and resolve customers' complaints on product quality. (10%)
  • To implement safety working procedure among the lab personnel in the department. (5%)
  • To perform any other duties as directed by superior from time to time (5%)
  • To assist QC HOD in monitoring the results of WWTP and its operation (5%)
