Job description
  • Strategic Production Planning and Scheduling:Developing and executing comprehensive production plans and schedules to meet organizational targets, which includes coordinating manufacturing activities, defining timelines, budgeting based on production specifications, and aligning production requirements with plant capacity.
  • Inventory Management and Optimization:Managing and controlling inventory levels for both raw materials and finished goods to prevent stockouts or overstocking. This involves tracking inventory, collaborating with procurement for timely material acquisition, and utilizing demand forecasts to adjust inventory strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring and Control:Continuously overseeing manufacturing processes, tracking production status, and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery and identify potential inefficiencies or issues. This accountability also includes establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance.
  • Resource Utilization and Efficiency Enhancement:Optimizing the deployment of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel. This involves formulating strategies to boost production efficiency, minimize waste, maximize output, and identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensuring strict adherence to government regulations, industry certifications, health and safety standards, and the company's internal quality benchmarks for all finished products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Facilitating close coordination and communication with various departments such as procurement, manufacturing, sales, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure operational alignment and smooth workflows.
  • Problem Resolution and Continuous Improvement:Proactively addressing and resolving production disruptions, delays, and other operational issues. This also entails evaluating existing processes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Reporting and Analysis:Generating various reports on production progress, performance metrics, and inventory status for management review and informed decision-making.

Perform other duties as assigned & be ready to response into ad-hoc tasks as required from time to time with business needs.

Requirement
  • A Bachelor's Degree is usually required, with preferred fields including Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: Typically, 2 to 5+ years of direct experience in production planning or supply chain management is expected, often progressing from roles like Production Planner.
  • Key experience areas include working in a manufacturing environment, proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, a proven history of optimizing production schedules, expertise in inventory management, and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in Production Planning and ERP/MRP Systems:Expertise in ERP software is crucial for integrated planning, resource management, and accurate material needs forecasting.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:Ability to analyze production data, interpret trends using statistical tools, forecast demand, and create insightful reports (e.g., with MS Excel) to monitor performance.
  • Deep Understanding of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Processes:Comprehensive knowledge of production methodologies, inventory management (optimizing levels, balancing costs), logistics, and procurement to ensure smooth operations.
  • Expertise in details scheduling:Core skills into capacity planning, and developing detailed production schedules, considering machine availability and labor or other resources supporting.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control and Improvement Methodologies:Familiarity with quality assurance, Lean Manufacturing, Just-In-Time (JIT), Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
