Job summary

A local procurement company in Pahang is seeking a responsible Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of goods and services for various projects. The candidate will ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain professional relationships with vendors. A degree in Finance or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience are required. Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail are critical for optimizing pricing and establishing standards.

Job description
  • Ensure that procurement for projects/tenders is in accordance with SOP and LOA.
  • Establish an acceptable, reasonable pricing standard for items to ensure the budget is not overrun.
  • Ensure that all vendors and suppliers are registered with the company and the Procurement Unit.
  • Ensure that records of vendor performance are maintained and current.
  • Ensure that no information is leaked to unauthorized personnel.
  • Ensure that there is no undue influence from internal or external parties.
  • Ensure that all communication with vendors and suppliers is maintained at a professional level.
  • Ensure that all documentation is maintained and well preserved.
  • Negotiations to lock pricing.
  • Ensuring no influence from internal or external parties.
  • Tender Committee, Quotation Committee, ISO for APMS, ISO for QMS, ISO Shariah Compliance.
Job Purpose

Responsible for procurement of all goods and services for all projects in accordance to established procurement policies to ensure optimization of pricing.

Job Requirements
  • Degree in Finance / Accounting / any related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the related field.
  • Tender Committee, Quotation Committee, ISO for APMS, ISO for QMS, ISO Shariah Compliance.
  • Insufficient record of resources or suppliers.
  • Negotiations to lock pricing.
  • Ensuring no influence from internal or external parties.
