A leading HR firm in Malaysia is seeking a Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist to partner with business leaders in talent management and workforce planning. This role involves leading recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and developing training programs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of HR experience, a strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws, and excellent communication skills. Partner with department heads to understand current and future manpower needs.
Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for business-critical roles.
Prepare manpower planning forecasts and headcount reports, including budget implications.
Ensure recruitment processes are efficient, compliant with Malaysian labor laws, and aligned with company policies.
Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance skills, competencies, and leadership capability.
Partner with business heads to identify skill gaps and plan interventions (internal/external training, workshops, mentoring).
Support succession planning and career development initiatives.
Provide HR guidance and support to managers on performance management, disciplinary issues, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Coach and support line managers on employee engagement, retention, and staff motivation.
Act as a point of escalation for complex employee matters, ensuring fair and consistent handling in line with Malaysian labor laws.
Provide expert advice on Malaysian labor laws, employment contracts, and statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, Employment Act, etc.).
Support line managers on policy interpretation, disciplinary action, and HR best practices.
Maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reports to enable informed decision-making.
Provide estimates for HR-related budgets, including recruitment, training, benefits, and manpower costs.
Monitor HR expenditures and support business units in cost-effective HR planning.
Prepare regular HR reports on turnover, headcount, training, and employee engagement for management review.
Work closely with shared service HR teams (payroll, benefits, administrative HR) to ensure seamless HR operations.
Act as a trusted HR partner to business leaders, balancing employee needs with organizational objectives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a HR Business Partner or generalist role in Malaysia.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, HR policies, and HR best practices.
Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, training, and workforce planning.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
