Job summary

A leading property development firm located in Johor Bahru is seeking an Accounts Assistant. The role involves maintaining accounting records, assisting in month-end and year-end closings, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers. Ideal candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal and time management skills are essential. Responsibilities

  • Keep proper accounting records and update cash book and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing full set of accounts during month end and year end closing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly accounting.
  • Check and update all unpaid bills and Contractor claims into Account Payable system.
  • Perform Account Payable activities to ensure timely payment of suppliers.
  • Check and validate all documents received.

Job description

Keep proper accounting records and update cash book and bank reconciliations.

To assist in preparing full set of accounts during month end and year end closing

Ensure timely and accurate preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly accounting.

Check and update all unpaid bills and Contractor claims into Account Payable system in order to ensure that all new contracts awarded, VO and Final A/C been updated to AP.

Perform Account Payable activities to ensure that the payment of suppliers are made on time.

To ensure all documents received are checked, validated and matched accordingly.

Assist Finance Manager in preparing special reports required by the management.

To carry out any other work as required and authorized by the superior.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalents.

Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in related field.

Good interpersonal and time management skills.
