A Malaysian construction company is seeking a Contracts Administrator to manage pre- and post-contract stages for various projects. Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in contracts administration or management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience with pre- and post-contract stages.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project); knowledge of AutoCAD or contract software is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
Responsibilities
- Handle pre & post contract for any projects that has been assigned by the superior.
- Prepare contract and sub-contract documents including Bill of Quantities, Specifications and etc for tenders.
- Prepare project budget, tendering, evaluation, analysis and preparation tender reports.
- Prepare contract agreements and prepare recommendation to management for award of contracts.
- Check, validate site valuation and measurement, recommend to management contractor’s interim progress payment, variations and final account for main contracts and sub-contracts. Process Consultant’s fees claims.
- Compile cost plan and data for future project planning, pertaining to construction and development costs.
- Prepare prequalification & shortlisting reports for management approval with regards to Contractors and Subcontractors for tenders.
- Update cost information on building materials.
- Value engineering to achieve optimum cost in compliance with the required quality.
- Assist in design review to reduce costs.
- Conduct coordination meetings with consultants and contractors to study and suggest solutions to technical or non-technical problems.
- To assist in the implementation of Integrated Management System (IMS) and integrated management of financial processes that affect the operations of other departments.
- To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.
