Job Description
  • Support and strengthen department’s internal controls and ensure full compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, corporate governance and other related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in coordination of outside department’s resources, i.e. claims trends, loss ratio and relevant reports; work closely with Claims and Business Departments to combat adverse trends and for remedial actions.
  • Assist in reviewing underwriting guidelines periodically for continuous improvement and keep business units updated for full compliance.
  • Assist in providing professional advice, guidance and support to Business Units and Branch personnel in all aspects of insurance underwriting management and operations.
  • Discussion with Business Units including site meetings/visits where required to have a better understanding of the site exposure.
  • Perform and support the department’s administrative systems, procedures and work processes for sound operations and continuous improvements.
  • Assess all aspects of technical underwriting, policy wording review on Liability / Engineering class of insurance.
  • Perform branch review as and when required by superior.
  • Perform any other ad hoc roles or Employee Voice Survey activities as required by management for mutual growth.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
