We are currently looking for a dynamic and creative Event Manager to join our team at Growth Valley. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing educational events and offline courses that align with our mission to empower individuals and organizations. You will play a pivotal role in creating memorable learning experiences, ensuring seamless event operations, and driving participant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute educational events, workshops, seminars, and offline courses from conception to completion. Develop detailed event timelines, budgets, and logistics plans.
- Venue & Vendor Management: Source and negotiate with venues, caterers, audio‑visual suppliers, and other vendors. Ensure all event requirements are met within budget and quality standards.
- Course Facilitation Support: Collaborate with trainers, speakers, and content developers to ensure smooth delivery of offline courses. Coordinate materials, equipment, and participant requirements.
- Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to promote events through various channels. Create engaging event materials and manage registrations and attendee communications.
- Participant Experience: Ensure exceptional participant experience from registration to post‑event follow‑up. Handle inquiries, manage on‑site registration, and address any issues promptly.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost‑effectiveness. Provide financial reports and recommendations for future events.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate event support staff and volunteers. Provide clear direction and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Post‑Event Evaluation: Conduct post‑event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare comprehensive reports. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future events.
- Risk Management: Anticipate potential issues and develop contingency plans. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage event insurance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Professional certification in event management would be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in event management, preferably in the education or training industry.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking) is an advantage due to the nature of our courses and participants.
- Creative thinking with strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, event management software, and comfortable with digital tools for virtual/hybrid events.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when events are scheduled.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management and budget control.
- Passionate about education and creating impactful learning experiences for participants.
