Overview
- To advice Management on the measures to be taken in the interest of the safety and health matters of the persons employed in the place of work.
- Advice and ensure company comply in legal and other requirements relating health, safety, and environmental legislation in the workplace.
- To carried out inspection the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in place of work, environmental pollution, and legal compliances.
- To investigate any accident, near-miss, accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational disease which has happened in the place of work and coordinate rectification.
- To become secretary of SHC and perform all duty required by SHC legal requirement.
- Establish, monitoring and checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the acts or any regulations made under the act.
- To collect, analyse and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work.
- To coordinate CF (PMA, PMD, PMT) registration, maintain compliance and renewal.
- To conduct evaluation of compliance on legal, social and others requirement. Initiate compliance improvement, monitoring and reporting of legal status.
- To establish, coordinate, manage and ensure compliance of Scheduled Waste Management and as require by the Management or regulatory.
- To establish, coordinate, manage and ensure compliance of Industrial Safety Hygiene included Noise, Ergonomic and Chemical Management.
- To establish, coordinate, manage and ensure compliance of Fire Safety and Contractor Safety Management.
- Liaise with external parties and authority such as DOSH, DOE, Bomba and etc.
- To conduct training on safety compliance for employees to enhance the safety culture and environment.
- To foresee and give solution to the management through safety improvement project to enhance the standard of high in safety matter.
- To carried out inspection and checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measure taken in compliance of company hostel/accommodation.
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns
- Arrange for repair the breakdown for outsource maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Create maintenance procedures
- Implement environmental policies and practices by ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
- Develop and facilitate implementation of environment programs and action plans
- Supporting the development of OHS policies and programs
- Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
- Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
- Conduct safety committee meetings to share best practice techniques
- Oversee and review health and safety documentation and data.
- Develop and implement health and safety plans, data capture, and ongoing analysis.
- Develop and implement OHS training programs.
- Enforce the discipline to workers on 5s requirements, improve and build in quality and cost saving in production.
- Liaise with external parties such matters as DOSH, BOMBA, Consultant, and authorities on matter pertaining to safety & health matters including licensing, compliance, and audit
- Monitor equipment and machinery inventory
Qualifications / Requirements
- A least 3 years’ of health, safety, and environment operation experience in manufacturing environment
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or in a related field
- Proficient in writing procedures, reports, prepare charts and analysis data
- A qualified workplace, safety and health officer and obtained CePSWaM
- A team player with positive attitude, strict code of conduct, work in principle, good communication skills, can independently deal with emergencies.
- Equipped with statistical data analysis skill, creative thinking & problem solving skill
- Able to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Possess own transport, willing to work at Puchong Selangor
- Proficiency in computers and office software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
