Engineering Manager / Project Coordinator (Data Center Project)
Preference:
- Preferably candidates with solid experience in Data Center projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all engineering and project-related activities from the design phase to project completion.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure timely deliverables and effective cost control.
- Lead day-to-day project operations, including design coordination, quality assurance, project monitoring, and liaison with consultants, contractors, vendors, and relevant authorities.
- Ensure all RFIs and Submittal Transmittal forms are responded to within the specified timeframe by all consultants.
- Report to the Project Director regarding the issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Attend all BIM-related meetings and ensure identified clashes are resolved promptly by relevant consultants.
- Prepare Minutes of Meetings, document all necessary information, and ensure actions are followed up by the responsible parties.
- Coordinate closely with data center operators and clients; lead project, site, and technical meetings.
- Ensure MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and critical infrastructure comply with data center standards.
- Prepare internal and external project progress reports and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, with a focus on uptime and redundancy requirements.
- Ensure adherence to data center-specific regulations, safety standards, and best construction practices.
- Support the Cost & Contracts team in tender preparation, vendor selection, and pre-qualification processes.
- Collaborate with Cost and Contract personnel to identify and manage change orders issued by the End-user/Client/Consultants and General Contractor.
- Assist in obtaining necessary approvals, permits, and certifications from relevant authorities.
- Monitor approval status and maintain an authority approval tracking log for Client/Project Director review.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or Project/Construction Management (or equivalent).
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in construction or engineering, with at least 3–5 years in data center projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of critical systems (UPS, CRAC, generators, structured cabling, fire suppression, etc.).
- Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in large-scale or high-specification projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills in English.
