Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Verify all drawing, documents and reports related to the Engineering Department
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or Master in Mechanical Engineering. Strong CAD skills (Fusion 360, Inventor, SolidWorks) and essential CAM knowledge.
  • Supervise a team of engineers in the design and development of mechanical parts
  • Handle mechanical engineering activities and manage document control staff
  • Support engineers, designers, and drafters on projects according to task needs and skills
  • Manage mechanical engineering competence and maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise
  • Review detailed mechanical designs for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance
  • Oversee and mentor mechanical design and CAD modeling in Pro-Engineer or equivalent software
  • Ensure all drawings and designs comply with applicable standards before approval
  • Support methodical root cause analysis and resolve non-compliance in part performance
  • Coach, counsel, and develop team members to build technical competence and career growth
  • Implement and enforce all standard operating procedures related to engineering
  • Develop infrastructure and processes to ensure mechanical engineering competency across the team
  • Execute instructions and directives issued by top management
  • Assign jobs and projects to engineers according to planning and top management instructions
  • Take overall responsibility for all activities within the Engineering Department
  • Monitor, review, and approve engineering documentation, project updates, and technical reports
  • Promote technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
  • Ensure effective coordination with Production, QMS/QA, MIS, and other departments for engineering deliverables
  • Escalate critical technical risks or non-conformances to management promptly
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by top management related to the Engineering Department
