What will you do?
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Management ambassador for all management safety, health and environment policies, direction and values.
- Initiate investigation for any accident/incident/near miss to identify the root cause and propose corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure safe workplace environment for employees at all the time.
Quality Management
- Implement and maintain the Quality Monitoring Scheme to ensure manufacturing process meeting the expectation on the food safety & quality aspects of control.
- Carry out routine check, monitor and verification on the engineering recording to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Supply Management
- Coordinate with the support team for the engineering planning to include maintenance program, stock count, planned downtime or annual shutdown.
Cost Management
- Carry out routine check, monitor, verification and justification on the variances in Engineering Orders (SAP).
- Carry out routine check and monitor for the engineering consumables purchase and usage.
- Perform routine monitoring for inventory management i.e. stock count, consumption, write-off, reconciliation, material transfer.
People Management
- Maintains industrial harmony and ensures compliance to all labour laws related.
- Carry out routine check, monitor and approval on the peoples’ leave and overtime to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Managing the people related issue i.e. disciplinary issue, training, career progression, talent development and coaching.
General Management
- To lead engineering team providing services and maintenance on production equipment, utilities, facilities, building and Safety, Health and Environment. Implement all activities in term of spare parts inventory, downtime improvement, housekeeping and cost optimization.
- To comply with any instructions, measure and Principle & Practices on SHE instituted by the company.
- To coordinate and liaise with other departments, suppliers, consultants or vendors pertaining to engineering activities to achieve department objectives.
- To ensure all equipment utilities, facilities, buildings and other factory systems are in good condition and comply with company and statutory rules and requirements.
- Plan and manage with relevant personnel all maintenance improvement and engineering work order activities utilizing maintenance resources without / minimum disruption to operation. Manage and ensure work carried out according to agreed plan and budget.
- Review analyses completed maintenance work carried out by team and contractor against specified requirement of time, cost and quality. To recommend and implement improvement to close gap. Maintain all technical reports and maintenance documents accurately for future reference.
- To ensure that all documents (Manual / Drawing / SOP / IQ / OQ / Preventive Maintenance / Calibration / Checklist) are written, reviewed and updated accordingly.
- To assist QA/QC qualification, validation and others related activities for GMP and others statutory compliance.
- To take lead on engineering related activities and to ensure on adhere of safety and other regulations (OSHA, ISO, etc.) are fulfilled.
- To ensure proper maintenance activities being carried out periodically and systematically.
- Report to superior for any abnormality or non-compliance action / activity.
- Perform any task assign by the management.
About you?
Functional Skills and Capabilities required
- Acquire a strong foundation in engineering principles, including HVAC / ACMV, plumbing, electrical systems, structural design and energy efficiency.
- Experience & knowledge in HALAL, GMP, HACCP, ISO and FSSC.
- Computer literate and well verse with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and SAP.
- Strong leadership skill, analytical and communication skill.
- Familiar and hands‑on with problem solving tools.
Requirement
- Degree / Diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certificate / SKM Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering.
- SPM in Mechanical from Technical or Vocational school.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in building and machine maintenance.
