We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our team at Autowell (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of efficient and effective manufacturing processes to support our growing operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Process Optimization – Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. Identify bottlenecks in the production process and develop solutions to improve workflow.
- Project Management – Lead process engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies. Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Technical Leadership – Provide technical guidance and support to the process engineering team. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Quality Assurance – Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all processes meet the required standards and specifications. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any process‑related quality issues.
- Documentation and Reporting – Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process designs, specifications, and changes. Prepare and present reports on process performance, project progress, and improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Communication – Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, production teams, and suppliers. Represent the process engineering department in meetings and discussions.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a lead or senior process engineering role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of designing, implementing and optimising efficient and cost‑effective manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking and decision‑making skills
- Strong project management and team leadership abilities
- Proficient in the use of process engineering software, data analysis tools and automation technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Thorough understanding of process control, quality management, and lean manufacturing principles
