Engineer, Process

We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Understand technical requirements: Understand the basic and essential specifications and requirements of the assigned project and Industry Standard, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements.
• Engineering document preparation: Prepares and marks up the PFD, P&ID, and process datasheets in accordance with design specification.
• Process calculation: Performs preliminary PSV set pressure calculations, line sizing calculations, settle‑out calculations in accordance with alarm set points and design limitations.
• Verification of vendor information: Performs verification of vendors’ information and performs necessary calculations (e.g. scrubber level settings, strainer pressure drops) to determine if design requirements are met.
• Review of other disciplines’ documents/vendor documents: Performs verification of General Arrangement drawings and marks up to highlight any discrepancies in design specifications (e.g. vessel & exchanger nozzle allocation).
• Resolution of technical issues: Assists senior engineer to develop solutions to technical/engineering and related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and proposing various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references.
• Evaluation of vendor proposals: Under supervision of senior/lead engineer evaluates the process requirements for other packages and contributes to technical bid evaluation process, ensuring selected vendors meet technical/engineering and delivery requirements.
• Compliance with HSSEQ policies: Ensures business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrate a high standard of ethical behaviour.
