A leading technology firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design and develop wireless features for Mission Critical two way radios. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-6 years of experience in Android development, coding in C/C++ and Java, and a solid understanding of Android frameworks. Qualifications

• Graduates in Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related field.

• Experience with coding in both C/C++ and Java.
• Good understanding of Android Frameworks including the general Application framework and native framework.

Job description

Propose, design and develop wireless features in Android application or Android framework for purpose built Mission Critical Two way radios

Understand the mobile wireless requirements to implement features defined by standard bodies and features that enhance user experience

Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options, offer solution suggestions

Collaborate with Global Software teams in MSI to design, develop and launch features on time with highest quality

Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements.

Performs root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems

Basic Requirements

• Graduates in Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related field
• At least 3-6 years of experience with Android Development or a combination of Android and Embedded Systems
• Experience with AOSP (Android Open Source Project)
• Experience with coding in both C/C++ and Java
• Good understanding of Android Frameworks including the general Application framework and native framework
• Strong technical experiences in Android Operating System related domains, especially in Android framework architecture in areas such as SELinux Policies, Native C/C++, Boot Sequence, Native C/C++ services inter process communication (Android Binder)
• Experience with Qualcomm chipset Development is preferred
• Experience in one of the following Android Domains : Networking, Bluetooth or WiFi
• Experience with vendors for Bluetooth certification is a plus
