Job Summary

MSR-GE is a leading RE developer committed to driving the transition to clean energy through innovative and sustainable projects. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer on an 18‑month contract to support the delivery of our projects from conception through completion. Subject to performance and company requirements, the role may be converted to a permanent position upon completion of the contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing electrical project activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring tasks, documentation, and records are updated accurately and on time
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams, external contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure all electrical works and documentation are aligned with project requirements
  • Prepare and support the submission of reports, progress updates, technical documents, and regulatory compliance records as required by the project
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, assisting the Project Manager in identifying delays, constraints, and opportunities for improvement
  • Track and report project progress, maintaining updated dashboards, action‑item lists, and progress trackers
  • Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure installation and commissioning activities comply with specifications, drawings, and relevant electrical codes
  • Assist in contract administration tasks, including tracking deliverables, reviewing contractor submissions, and supporting the evaluation of variation orders or claims
  • Coordinate procurement processes, such as preparing RFQs, collecting vendor quotations, reviewing technical compliance, and following up on delivery schedules
  • Support site activities, including site inspections, monitoring contractor performance, manpower deployment, work quality, and HSE compliance
  • Participate in project meetings, including kick‑off sessions, technical discussions, site coordination meetings, and prepare meeting minutes and follow‑up actions
  • Maintain proper document control, ensuring accurate versioning, filing, and submission tracking for drawings, procedures, and correspondence
  • Assist in risk identification and mitigation efforts, escalating critical issues to senior engineers or the Project Manager
  • Provide technical support by applying fundamental electrical engineering principles relevant to renewable energy systems, including solar integration, power systems, and BESS technologies
  • Support testing and commissioning activities, including documentation, punch‑list tracking, witnessing tests, and ensuring proper recording of results
  • Assist in project close‑out, preparing as‑built documentation, handover packages, and lessons‑learned summaries
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 3+ years of experience, ideally within solar PV, substations, or TNB projects
  • A strong understanding of electrical engineering & project fundamentals, with a willingness to learn and adapt to project‑specific needs
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage significant documentation and project coordination tasks
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, external stakeholders, and contractors
  • Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Competence in MS Project is a distinct advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and supportive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
  • Flexibility to work at project sites as required, sometimes outside normal working hours
