Job description
Key Responsibilities include:
  • To maintain all production-related equipment and machinery to ensure optimum efficiency and reliability
    • To eliminate repetitive breakdowns
    • To reduce machinery and system downtime
    • To achieve and maintain plant availability according to KPI
  • To maintain all utility installations such that services are provided with minimum interruptions and at low cost
  • To implement and manage all machinery maintenance programs and repair procedures to improve machinery efficiency
  • To carry out maintenance improvement plans from time to time
  • To plan and manage the acquisition of spare parts and equipment to ensure minimal interruption of maintenance programs
  • To team up with production to propose, design and execute modification of machinery/techniques, if any, to enhance productivity
  • To monitor and implement energy conservation
  • To improve the efficiency, effectiveness and training of maintenance personnel to achieve better personnel performance
  • To propose cost‑saving projects, if any
  • To carry out building maintenance
  • To carry out troubleshooting works
  • To continuously improve the confidence and the unity of the maintenance and facilities department
  • In charge of cleaners and gardeners to upkeep the facility compounds, restrooms, Office, and production floor
  • Management Representative for Maintenance
  • Responsible for all activities related to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Energy
  • Carry out duties in accordance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Energy Policy, Procedure and SOP
  • To work closely with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, NIOSH, BOMBA, etc.) to ensure compliance of the plant and machinery with government regulations and requirements
  • To coordinate the renewal of JKKP inspection of factory & machinery – e.g. gantry crane & compressors
  • To conduct safety induction training when instructed or when the safety officer or ERT commando is not around
  • To perform any other duty as assigned by your superior from time to time
Requirements
  • Degree in an Electrical Engineering/related engineering field with 2-5 years of working experience as an engineer
  • Preferably with prior experience from the manufacturing or industrial industry
  • Possess good knowledge of machine maintenance and have attended courses on preventive maintenance
  • Possess good knowledge of machine problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively with peers and subordinates
  • The ability to work quickly under pressure
  • Hands‑on experience with Software and MS Office applications
