A leading energy company in Kedah is seeking a safety manager responsible for hazard identification, compliance, and oversight of operational safety measures. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental protection or chemistry and have knowledge of Malaysian regulations. Proficiency in Malay, English, and Mandarin is necessary due to interaction with management. This role involves daily inspections, chemical management, and coordination of safety measures across various equipment.
EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd – Kulim, Kedah
Conduct annual hazard identification for operational sites, propose preventive measures, and maintain management records;
Oversee safe operation of onsite equipment/machinery, ensuring departmental compliance with special equipment registration and annual inspection requirements;
Implement full lifecycle chemical management to monitor and control risks from both existing and new chemical inventories;
Administer part-time safety officers' performance evaluation and maintain coordinator activity logs;
Conduct daily inspections of environmental protection equipment, manage environmental permit applications, and supervise hazardous/solid waste disposal
Execute the annual inspection plan for special equipment, electrical, and mechanical safety (100% completion rate), and submit summary reports;
Identify critical areas and develop specialized inspection checklists; supervise safety officers in implementing patrol mechanisms;
Develop electrical safety inspection plans for critical and high-energy-consumption equipment, implement inspection protocols, and eliminate hazards;
Conduct workplace safety inspections, promptly notify responsible personnel of identified issues, propose corrective actions, ensure implementation, and maintain management logs.
Execute other tasks assigned by superiors
Bachelor degree or above in environmental protection, chemistry or other related majors, open for related experience candidates or fresh graduate who has the willingness .
Knowledge of Malaysian safety, fire protection, and environmental protection laws, regulations, and standards.
Experience in industrial safety management, with preference given to those with expertise in hazardous chemical safety management, electrical explosion protection, mechanical injury control, fire safety management, and emergency management
Proficient in Malay, English and Mandarin(Need to report to the Chinese Managers)
