Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise daily engineering operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
  • Monitor energy consumption and support the hotel’s energy conservation initiatives.
  • Execute the Work Order Control System, ensuring timely completion and quality checks.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, power failures, and lift entrapments.
  • Train, guide, and motivate engineering team members to maintain high service standards.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Front Office) to address engineering-related needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations at all times.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or certified Chargeman/Wireman with relevant qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, M&E systems, building automation, fire safety, and preventive maintenance.
  • Hands‑on leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and ability to work closely with multiple departments.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages an advantage).
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
