Job Summary

Bases in Karak & Raub, responsible for coordinating durian collection from farms, monitoring product quality, managing stock handling, and supporting retail sales activities. Ensures smooth operations on harvest collection, product freshness, quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
1. Durian Collection
  • Arrange and coordinate daily/weekly durian collection schedule.
  • Liaise with farmers on delivery timing, quantity, and grade.
  • Track and verify weight, type, and quality upon collection.
  • Ensure proper documentation of collected durians (batch, supplier, price, etc.).
  • Monitor delivery hygiene and transportation standards.
2. Quality Control & Stock Handling
  • Inspect durian quality at collection point and before retail release.
  • Identify and segregate durians based on grade, ripeness, and pricing category.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling temperature, and freshness preservation.
  • Maintain stock inventory records and perform stock reconciliation daily.
  • Assist in setting up retail booth/shop when required.
  • Guide customers on product selection (e.g. taste profile, grade type).
  • Support product packaging and presentation.
  • Assist in pricing, discount handling, and customer query resolution.
  • Occasionally handle cash / digital payment transactions (if required).
4. Reporting & Administrative Work
  • Prepare daily collection and sales reports.
  • Update system or Excel database with stock movement, supplier cost, and retail.
  • Report quality issues or operational delays to manager promptly.
  • Suggest improvements to sourcing, handling, and sales process.
Requirements
  • Basic inventory management & data reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of product quality evaluation.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently between plantation sites and KL office.
  • Possess own transport (petrol subsidy provided).
  • Education in Agriculture, Business, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Multilingual skills (Malay, Chinese, English) are an added advantage.
