Picaso is short for PJ Integrated Centre of Advanced Surgery and Oncology. As a leader in surgical procedures and cancer care in Malaysia, nothing matters to us more than ensuring every patient receives personalised medical care alongside optimal solutions for their recovery.

The Director of Procurement & Project Management is responsible for leading all procurement, contracting, vendor management, and project delivery activities within the healthcare organization. This role ensures that medical equipment, clinical consumables, pharmaceuticals, non‑clinical supplies, and healthcare services are sourced cost‑effectively, safely, and in compliance with healthcare regulations. The Director also oversees enterprise project management, including hospital expansion, renovation, technology upgrades, medical equipment commissioning, and clinical service implementation.

The Director provides strategic leadership across procurement and project management functions to support patient care excellence, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This includes managing supplier performance, coordinating procurement for clinical departments, overseeing CAPEX investments, delivering major healthcare projects, and ensuring continuity of supply for critical patient care needs. The role is critical to improving patient outcomes through quality supply chain management and timely project execution.

The scope of this role follows the organization’s structural design, covering operational procurement, store management, and project coordination. Strategic procurement functions (category strategy, group contracting, and long‑term sourcing strategy) are centralized and not part of this role.
