Core Duties
- Perform and assist with non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECGs) and stress tests.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process, ensuring they are comfortable, and positioning them appropriately for accurate test results.
- Operate and maintain specialized cardiovascular equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly to provide accurate test results.
- Collect and analyze diagnostic data, producing detailed and accurate reports for review by cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist cardiologists and other medical staff during cardiovascular procedures, such as catheterizations, angioplasties, and pacemaker insertions.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during diagnostic tests and procedures, promptly identifying and addressing any abnormalities or complications.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of diagnostic tests, procedures, and patient interactions, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/Medical Assistants/Biomedical Sciences/Nursing/ Cardiovascular Technology
- Certified Graduate Certificate in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Sciences
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in primary health care will be advantaged
- Preferable with working experience in healthcare setting
