Job description

Overview

This position is great for recent graduates with relevant acquired skills or those with similar experience. This candidate should be able to work well with others, communicate clearly, and help different teams like Engineering, Sales, Projects, and Production. The job requires you to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To design, prepare production drawings, and create cutting lists for all incoming and special projects, for use by Production Team
• To construct and revise 3D models for new and existing products
• To create and maintain SOPs for product and process-related tasks when needed
• To support the Engineering Team in design tasks and to ensure products are completed within the given timeframe
• To assist with drawing management to ensure that all drawings are up to date.
• To support all new product improvement and development, from the design process to production
• To assist the programming team in creating and executing programs for punching machines (Trumpf, Amada), if required
• Work closely with the Production Team to ensure product process is efficient and quality is achieved
• Collaborate with the Technical Assistant to ensure all special projects are completed according to design specifications
• Liaise with Technical Assistant regarding implementation of ECR and ECN on the production floor
• Collaborate with Sales and Project Teams on product design to ensure designs are manufacturable

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 2 years of relevant experience in sheet metal manufactured products
• Fresh graduates with the following skill requirements are encouraged to apply
• Required skills:
  -AutoCAD LT for 2D drafting AND/OR
  - SolidWorks, including sheet metal features for 3D modelling
  -Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and data analysis
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Solid understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes
• Familiar with programming sheet metal machinery (e.g., CNC, laser cutting, punching machines)
• Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies
• Experienced in implementing and maintaining ISO standards
