As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes in your designated section. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to maintain exceptional culinary standards, ensure consistency, and deliver an outstanding dining experience that reflects our resort’s reputation for excellence.
What you will do
- Follow and maintain the resort’s recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards for all dishes.
- Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth coordination and timely delivery during service periods.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene in your section at all times, in compliance with HACCP and resort guidelines.
- Ensure equipment in your section is well maintained, report faults promptly, and handle all tools with care.
- Assist in training, guiding, and motivating junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs, to uphold culinary standards.
- Check mise en place to ensure an adequate supply of materials for the shift and bring up to par those items needed.
What you bring
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel
- Professional culinary qualification or relevant certification preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning.
