Job Description
Responsible for executing demand planning processes, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, leading S&OP meetings, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that impact KPIs (primary: forecast accuracy; secondary: on-time delivery/stock availability and inventory management/DIO).
Key Accountabilities
- Execute the daily, weekly and monthly demand planning processes (i.e. demand outlier adjustments, new parts, etc.) to fine tune the forecast to achieve forecast accuracy and customer delivery targets.
- Lead the Monthly Forecast Consensus S&OP meeting to reach a consensus with business partners on the sales demand forecast by facilitating a collaborative planning process.
- Collect data from internal and external sources such as customers forecast and data/market intelligence that are known to impact demand.
- Obtaining information and details on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions, new customers/parts.
- Developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons (rolling forecast).
- Coordinating and seeking cross-functional enquiries activities to reconcile forecasts variances (outliers-items).
- Refining systems, process, and methods to improve demand forecasts to better anticipate customer needs and forecast accuracy.
- Provide reporting and analysis on the full breadth of Supply Chain Performance, including Backorders, Backlog, DIO, OTD, Forecast Accuracy KPI and forecast bias.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in demand planning.
Technical Competence & Skills
- Experience using a Demand Planning software and ERP systems (Oracle) is preferred.
- Solid understand of common industry-wide supply chain planning processes is preferred.
- Self-starter, able to work under minimum supervision.
- Self-motivated and result orientated.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative skills, with the ability to interpret and translate data into actionable strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities.
