Responsibilities

• Master the production process and all process parameters, and familiarize with the installation positions of reactors, pumps, instruments, and valves.
• Skillfully operate DCS (Distributed Control System), SIS (Safety Instrumented System), and fire control systems, and correctly handle various alarm signals.
• Follow production instructions on-site, strictly adhere to process indicators, operate carefully, maintain effective communication with other operators, and ensure that process parameters stay within the normal range. Be responsible for the safety of the production site and stop any violation of operations immediately.
• Fill in operational records and other related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform daily maintenance to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the control room, and maintain the proper functioning of control systems.
• Assist equipment and instrumentation maintenance personnel in maintaining equipment, instruments, and systems, and support production scheduling.
• Ensure the accuracy and safety of team operations, promptly report and resolve safety hazards, and supervise employees' proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Strictly adhere to DCS/SIS safety operating procedures, safety regulations, and other relevant rules and regulations.
• During monitoring, do not leave the post without authorization. In case of equipment, instrument, or process malfunctions, promptly notify the relevant maintenance personnel for repairs.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers for the position. Complete other tasks assigned by higher management.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma with 3 years of familiarity with the operation of various control instruments, at least 1 year of experience in production site operations in a chemical manufacturing. DCS operation experience is preferred.
• Proficient in computer operation, strong chemical knowledge, and understanding of the operation of various instruments in the plant.
• Fluent in English and Malay.
