The Danaher Business System (DBS) leader for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Asia Pacific region is responsible for bringing Danaher's continuous improvement system, DBS to life and optimizing sustained operational performance across commercial functions by implementation of Danaher Business System tools, methods, and philosophies.

You will be a part of the APAC Leadership team and report to the Vice President, Commercial Management of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics responsible for leading all DBS initiatives within the APAC region in a growth oriented, cost-effective, financially aware, high quality and safe manner and developing long term commercial operational strategies, working closely with senior management to meet company objectives to drive efficiencies, yield optimal productivity and performance. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Drive, mentor, and motivate a cross‑functional teams from a DBS perspective, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement and drive the effective implementation and consistent application of DBS principles.
  • Collaborate with the General Managers and leadership team to ensure the commercial team possesses the requisite skills and capabilities to execute DBS tools across functions consistently.
  • Collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to identify improvement opportunities and actively contribute to developing commercial strategies and provide support to the organization in improving commercial performance metrics, such as growth, profitability, menu expansion, customer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Lead and organize Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement, ensuring a robust pipeline of improvement initiatives contributing to ongoing productivity enhancement, with a direct link to Policy Deployment.
  • Provide / promote comprehensive DBS training programs, ensuring skill development and proficiency in relevant areas.
  • Support improvement of baseline performance relative to growth, profitability, productivity and responsiveness by delivering business results and promote the sharing of best practices across functions in Beckman Coulter.
  • Drive consistency in meeting or exceeding Improvement Targets by using DBS principles and Lead Conversion methods and practices.
The essential requirements of the job include
  • 10+ years of minimum experience in driving operational excellence, experience in commercial roles with commercial competence & skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with master’s degree in business with at least 10+ years' experience
  • Mastery of a variety of DBS tools (either Lean, Service Engine or Growth-related DBS Tools, depending on areas(s) they support) with superior training, consulting and influencing skills
  • Proficient in a DBS environment, including Kaizen (continuous improvement) design and facilitation of Policy Deployment usage and specific DBS tools required in functions/areas supported. Demonstrated proficiency applying lean or growth principles in a variety of situations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, active listening, project management and leadership skills with ability to work with cross‑functional teams globally
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 15% with overnight stays across the global landscape to attend internal and customer facing meetings.
