Job summary

A leading telecommunications solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Data Engineer to develop robust data products and reporting systems. The ideal candidate will focus on engineering efficient data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and power high-performance dashboards in Microsoft Fabric (Power BI). Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience. This position supports a collaborative environment emphasizing inclusiveness and diversity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Development, or Analytics roles.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in debugging SQL queries and pipeline failures.
• Telco industry experience would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data products and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document dashboard requirements.
• Analyze data from various sources and prepare it for BI consumption.

Skills

Advanced SQL (Window functions, nested queries, stored procedures)

Python (pandas)

Data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)

Dashboard creation using Microsoft Fabric / Power BI

GCP architecture knowledge

Education
