Job summary

A tech support services company in Johor Bahru is seeking a candidate for a 6-month contract role. The individual will provide 2nd level technical support in a 24/7 environment and assist with server upgrades. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills, especially in Linux and networking, and be able to work rotational shifts of 12 hours, including weekends. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to work rotational shifts of 12 hours including weekends.
• Good experience in Linux and troubleshooting networks.
• Familiar with installation, maintenance, and support of production servers.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 24/7 shift basis including on-call support.
• Provide 2nd level technical support for escalated cases.
• Assist with OS and application upgrades.

Job description

Tenure : 6 Months Contract Only

Working Hour : Rotational Shift

Salary : RM 7,000 – RM 12,500

Job Responsibilities

• Must be able to work shift basis 12hours (Day/ Night) including weekends
• Responsible for a shift in a 24/7/365 working environment including on-call rostered basis shift
• Good experience in Linux
• Strong troubleshooting experience in Network, storage, server and software application
• Cabling knowledge in data center will be an advantage
• Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware, and software.
• Provides 2nd level technical support, manages escalated support cases and leads appropriate internal technical resources and/or 3rd party vendors to resolution.
• Assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching.
• Troubleshoot basic switch issues and replace switches
• Perform replacements of failed components such as hard drives/ DIMM
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Looking for someone can start work immediate basis and open for contract role
• Rotational shift 12hours with new start up environment based in Johor Bahru.
