Lead mission‑critical data center operations, owning SLA uptime, safety, compliance, and 24/7 operational readiness across power and cooling infrastructure.
Own end‑to‑end O&M performance: availability, SLA/KPI delivery, incident response, and continuous improvement.
Work hands‑on with critical infrastructure (UPS, gensets, HT/LV, switchgear, chillers/CRAC/CRAH, BMS).
Strong operational governance: SOP/MOP/EOP, change control, vendor management, and audit readiness.
We are seeking an experienced Data Center O&M Manager to lead critical facilities operations in Malaysia. You will be accountable for reliability, operational excellence, team leadership, and vendor performance—ensuring safe, compliant, and highly available service delivery in a mission‑critical environment.
Lead daily operations for critical facilities: HT/LV systems, UPS, generators, cooling plant, CRAC/CRAH, BMS/monitoring, and related M&E infrastructure.
Own SLA/KPI outcomes (availability, response time, MTTR, PM compliance) and deliver structured weekly/monthly operational reporting.
Build and enforce operational standards: SOP / MOP / EOP, Permit‑to‑Work (PTW), LOTO, risk assessments, and safety governance.
Manage incidents end‑to‑end: triage, escalation, stakeholder communication, RCA, corrective actions, and closure tracking.
Drive change management discipline: maintenance windows, method statements, rollback plans, approvals, and post‑change verification.
Lead and develop the site team (shift/on‑call planning, coaching, performance management, training plans).
Manage vendors and OEMs: scope definition, SLA enforcement, quality acceptance, compliance documentation, and cost control.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements; maintain complete site documentation and asset registers.
Proven experience in data center operations / facilities management / critical environments with a management track record.
Strong technical understanding of mission‑critical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, MV/LV distribution, cooling systems, BMS).
Demonstrated capability in incident command, change control, risk management, and stakeholder management.
Strong leadership mindset with high standards for discipline, documentation, and safety.
Willingness to support 24/7 operational readiness (on‑call or shift‑based coverage as required).
Malaysia Energy Commission competency (e.g., Chargeman A4 / BO) or experience managing operations where competent persons are required.
Exposure to structured data center operational standards (e.g., audit‑driven environments, maturity frameworks, or Uptime‑aligned operations).
Experience in vendor‑heavy delivery models and multi‑site operations.
Stabilize operational rhythm: PM compliance, reporting cadence, clear escalation paths, and incident/change discipline.
Close high‑risk gaps: documentation, EOP readiness, spares planning, vendor SLAs, and safety controls.
Improve reliability outcomes: fewer repeat incidents, faster restoration, better change success rate.
