Job summary

A technology company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Data Center Manager to oversee daily operations and technical processes. You will manage the data center team, ensuring systems' performance and compliance with protocols. Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the data center team, including shift scheduling and task allocation.

Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of data center systems, ensuring maximum uptime.

Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for servers, storage, and networking equipment.

Ensure compliance with operational procedures, security protocols, and safety standards.

Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance technical skills and performance.

Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, troubleshooting, and incident management.

Conduct performance reviews and contribute to career development planning for the team.

3. Technical & Process Oversight
  • Ensure proper documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Manage inventory of hardware, spare parts, and critical equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients for maintenance, upgrades, and project activities.
  • Lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Review and approve change requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements.
  • Support data center expansion, migration, and upgrade projects.
Basic Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
